McLaren has officially opened its largest standalone retailer in the world in the form of the newly inaugurated McLaren Dubai showroom, adding to its global network of over 100 locations in over 40 markets with a new major brand hub.
Michael Leiters, CEO of McLaren Automotive, was present at the grand opening gala, along with more than 200 customers and VIPs, who were also treated to the regional unveiling of the breathtaking new 750S. A dazzling lightshow welcoming guests brought downtown Dubai to a standstill, visible for miles around the new showroom and joining the night-time cityscape alongside buildings such as the Burj Khalifa - the world’s tallest building.
Massively enhancing McLaren’s presence
in the Middle East & Africa, the state-of-the-art retailer facility
is operated by McLaren Dubai, represented by Performance Tuning, part
of the Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda Group of Companies.
The opening of
the new retailer forms part of a momentous 2023 for McLaren, and
throughout the year the brand has continued to see extremely strong
customer demand for its existing range of GT, supercar, motorsport and
Ultimate models, and the McLaren retailer network is expanding to meet
this demand.
Production of the Artura, McLaren’s first
series-production high-performance hybrid supercar, is now ramping-up to
full capacity in its first whole year of production as customer orders
increase following critical acclaim for the car from independent
reviewers. The recently-introduced 750S - McLaren’s lightest and most
powerful series production supercar and the successor to the
benchmark-setting 720S - is now sold-out well into 2024.
The
McLaren marque is renowned globally for its extreme-performance,
limited-production hypercars and the new Solus GT is the epitome of the
breed. A track-only, single-seat hypercar that was originally developed
as a futuristic concept for the Gran Turismo Sport video game, the Solus
GT moved from the virtual world to production reality for just 25
customers worldwide. The first example of the Solus GT was delivered in
August at ‘The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering’, during the 2023 Monterey
Car Week and others will follow shortly.
McLaren Dubai’s grand
opening follows the launch in 2022 of the largest dedicated McLaren
Service Centre in the world, also in Dubai and forming a new complex
with the showroom. Operated by a dedicated team of McLaren-trained
engineers with more than 40 years of combined McLaren experience, the
Service Centre is future proofed to capture the sustainable growth of
the McLaren brand.
Spanning 950sqm of floorspace and featuring a
striking and vast display gallery, the new McLaren Dubai facility also
includes a McLaren Special Operations (MSO) studio, where customers can
where customers can personalise their new McLaren vehicles in a
virtually limitless number of ways.
