Ford Philippines recently went on a week-long road trip with media, bloggers and social media influencers in several parts of Luzon to put the Everest’s extraordinary toughness, roughness and capabilities to test.
The first wave of the drive conquered the lahar beds in Pampanga, passing through the rough terrain of the Mabalacat river valleys. Media attendees took turns navigating the Everest from the city, by the expressway, and through the outskirts of the town. The off-road drive showcased the Everest's impressive features such as the terrain management system, best in class water-wading, hill descent control, and launch assist, making for an extraordinary adventure.
In celebration of Father’s Day, the second wave of the drive saw fathers and their children on another road trip down south of Luzon, led by celebrity dad and social media influencer Luke Landrigan with his son Kai. The road trip kicked off at the Ford Island Conquest in Bonifacio Global City, where participants tried out the Everest in a specially-designed course, then headed all the way to Cavite to drive the SUV along the muddy trail in Carmona Estates known for its outdoor activities like ATV riding. The attendees then navigated all the way to the next pit stop at the Taal Lake Yacht Club for some sailing lessons and to catch a glimpse of the sunset.
For the last wave of the drive, the Everest took on the hilly, wet, and muddy roads of Tanay, Rizal for an extraordinary off-road experience showcasing the mastery of the SUV’s terrain management system and the hill-descent control to take on the rough and tough portions of the town. The river crossings also highlighted the 800 mm water wading capability of the Everest. Lunch was served outdoors complete with a glamping set-up while enjoying some quality time with nature. Participants also got the chance to experience water activities such as kayaking and tubing.
The road trip was a true testament to the Everest’s rugged off-road capabilities with exceptional ride quality and dynamic handling, complementing the beautiful sights the Philippines has to offer.
