Hyundai has launched the all-new Azera (badged as the Grandeur in the Korean market), its new range-topping premium sedan, in Korea.
The all-new Azera merges infinitely-flowing lines with well-balanced curves to achieve a distinctive exterior appearance. Inspired by sensuous, simple and modern shapes, designers explored the car’s luxurious image while focusing on the Azera’s futuristic yet original looks. Making efforts to accentuate its individuality, designers gave the Azera the largest cascading grille in the range, a newly developed visual signature that is integral to Hyundai’s identity. In addition, its unique LED headlamps combine with the heritage-inspired rear lamps to emphasize the sedan’s luxurious and imposing character.
Encapsulating Hyundai’s aim to convey sensuous, dramatic ex-pression, a choice of nine exterior colors and three interior color treatments are available. The combination of various exterior and interior colors accentuates the all-new Azera’s smooth and undulating interior surfaces for an inviting driver and passenger environment.
The all-new Azera is the most technologically advanced car in Hyundai’s product lineup, incorporating advanced convenience and safety features that befit its premium status. Hyundai has incorporated advanced technologies into its stylish, futuristic interior, including wireless charging for mobile devices, power trunk, and premium Nappa leather seats. A seven-inch display houses the Around View Monitor and fronts an audio system loaded with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay included as standard in global markets. Additionally, a memory seat and a panoramic sunroof further enhance the Azera’s comfort and convenience.
Befitting the premium sedan’s focus on comfort and convenience, aligned with driving performance, Korean customers can choose from four powertrains for the all-new Azera. Customers can choose either 3.0 GDi or 2.4 GDi petrol engines, or a 2.2 diesel engine. A 3.0 LPi engine will also be available for fleet/rental models. The 3.0 GDi petrol engine and 2.2 diesel engine will be fitted with a newly-developed eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2.4 GDi petrol and 3.0 LPi engines work in conjunction with a smooth six-speed automatic transmission.
