Ford Sollers, a joint venture of Ford Motor Company and JSC Sollers in Russia, celebrated its 5th anniversary last weekend.
Ford Sollers started its operations in Russia on October 1, 2011. Today, the joint venture offers Russian customers a fully refreshed model range including seven localised Ford models - Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo, EcoSport, Kuga, Explorer and Transit.
The company operates four manufacturing facilities, including three production plants and an engine plant which is the first of its kind launched under a foreign brand name in Russia. The full-scale Russian Research and Development Center is responsible for adaptation and localisation of Ford vehicles.
The joint venture has strengthened the Ford brand in Russia by expanding the model range and increasing the volume of cars produced in the country. The joint venture team is formed of experienced and talented specialists from Ford and Sollers, and professional teams from Vsevolozhsk and Tatarstan plants.
