Ford has announced the new Everest has earned a maximum 5-star safety rating from the ASEAN NCAP, underscoring the vehicle’s innovation and sophistication from Ford’s design and product development teams around the world.
Led by Ford’s Asia Pacific design and product development teams, the new Everest was designed from the ground up to offer an unmatched level of occupant protection in both active and passive safety features, with several first-in-class smart technologies. These technologies also improve the driving experience on- and off-road as well as helping to protect other road users.
The new Everest achieved the highest score for Adult Occupant Protection in its segment at 15.38/16 points, and also received 4-star rating in its Child Occupant Protection (COP) with 81 percent compliance.

The tested model is equipped with seven airbags and ISOFIX for child seat attachment.
The highest variant in the Everest lineup, the Everest Titanium+ currently available in Thailand also includes side and rear curtain airbags for enhanced protection and a range of new driver assistance technologies. These include features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning System, Lane Keeping System, Auto High Beam Control and Driver Alert System.
The new Everest was introduced in ASEAN in August 2015 and quickly gained popularity in available markets. It is built at Ford’s AutoAlliance Thailand joint-venture in Rayong, Thailand.
