BMW will stage the North American debuts of several major products at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, including the M2 Coupe, making global premiere.
Developed to
replace the 1-Series M Coupe, the M2 Coupe features an aggressive front
fascia, a new grille and 19-inch forged aluminum wheels with bespoke
Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. There's also widened wheel arches,
front fender vents and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.
Under the hood, the M2 Coupe is powered by a 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine which produces 365 hp and 464 Nm of torque - 499 Nm with overboost. When connected to the standard six-speed manual transmission, the car can accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 4.4 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h.
