A McLaren representative has officially confirmed the Spider version of the 675LT is in the works and will likely come in 2016.
Just like with the coupe, expect the 675LT Spider to be offered with an optional McLaren Club Sport pack bringing a fire extinguisher, titanium roll hoop and four-point harnesses - all for an extra £5,090.
Motivation is provided by the same twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine developing 675 hp and 700 Nm of torque. Performances should closely mirror those of the 675LT which needs 2.9 seconds for the 0-100 km/h run before hitting a top speed of 330 km/h.
