BMW has announced the X5 xDrive40e will have a starting price of €68,400 when it goes on sale this fall in Germany.
It is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine, combining with an electric motor, an 8-speed Steptronic and a 9 kWh lithium-ion battery. This enables a combined output of 313 hp and 450 Nm which is sufficient for a 0-100 km/h task in 6.8 seconds and a 210 km/h top speed that has been electronically limited.
With the battery pack fully charged, the X5 xDrive40e has an operating range of 31 km during which it can hit 120 km/h. A complete recharge takes 3 hours and 50 minutes from a household socket and 2 hours and 45 minutes when using the optional BMW i Wallbox.
