According to a recent report, Ford could unveil the endurance-racing version of the GT next month in Paris.
Car & Driver says the model will enter competition next year in the Le Mans GTE class to compete with the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R, Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 and Porsche 911 RSR.
Details are limited, but the standard GT is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine which will likely produce more than 700 hp. If that number pans out it, the GT would be more powerful than a number high-performance supercars including the Ferrari 488 GTB.
