Cadillac has announced the first 2016 CT6 will go under the hammer at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Palm Beach, Florida on April 17.
The proceeds will benefit the Karmanos Cancer Institute which is an integrated center of research, patient care and education dedicated to the prevention, early detection, treatment and eventual eradication of cancer.
Described as an "entirely new approach to premium luxury," the CT6 will be offered with three engines including a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with approximately 265 hp, a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 with approximately 335 hp and a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 400 hp and 543 Nm)of torque. They will be mated to 8-speed automatic transmissions which can be paired to an all-wheel drive system.
The 2016 CT6 will go into production at the company's Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant towards the end of the year. It will be launched in the U.S. shortly thereafter, before heading to China, Europe, Korea, Japan, Israel and the Middle East.
