The Aston Martin Rapide S continues its international award success, being voted "Classic Car of Today" by readers of German title MotorKlassik.

It is the third time in succession that the British luxury brand’s four-door, four-seat sports car has claimed the MotorKlassik title.

The magazine’s award ceremony took place at Schloss Dyck in Jüchen. Mark Kenworthy, Regional Director European Operations of Aston Martin Lagonda of Europe, said: "It is very satisfying to see that our four-door sports car has once again taken this award, and we’re very grateful to the readers of MotorKlassik for their votes. I believe this third win in a row really underlines Aston Martin’s timeless design, and our expertise as a luxury sports car maker. The fact that the Rapide S continues to win honours around the world shows how well received Aston Martin styling and luxury continue to be."

Winning in the magazine’s "Luxusklasse" category, the Rapide S received 33,3% of the votes ahead of the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe and Maserati Quattroporte. The number of readers who participated in this year’s vote has increased by about 50% in comparison to the previous year, exceeding now the number of 20,000 participants in total.
