The McLaren 570S Coupe has officially made its public debut this week at the 2015 New York Auto Show.
Serving as the company's base model, the 570S Coupe features an evolution of the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine which produces 570 hp at 7,400 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 5,000-6,500 rpm. It is mated to a 7-speed SSG transmission that allows the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, 0-200 km/h in just 9.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 328 km/h.
This power is brought under control with standard-fit carbon ceramic brakes, fitted behind a newly designed range of forged alloy wheel options with P Zero Corsa tyres as standard from McLaren technical partner, Pirelli - 225/35/R19 on the front and 285/35/R20 on the rear. The model also has its own newly-developed suspension system ensuring enhanced levels of driver engagement and refinement on both road and track.
The 570S Coupe will have a starting price of £143,250 in the United Kingdom. It will be joined very soon by an Asia-only 540C version which as the name suggests will have 540 hp.
