2016 Mazda MX-5 performance specifications announced

Mazda has recently released performance specifications for the 2016 MX-5.
The Japanese carmaker confirmed the 1.5-liter SkyActiv-G petrol engine will produce 129 hp and 150 Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, Mazda declined to say how much the 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G engine will produce, but Driving.ca is reporting it will develops 155 hp and 200 Nm of torque. If this is true, the new MX-5 will be less powerful than its predecessor which has a 2.0-liter engine with 167 hp and 190 Nm of torque.
