Toyota achieves record sales result after 19 years of operation in Vietnam

Toyota Vietnam (TMV) has just announced, in December 2014, its sales volume (including Toyota and Lexus) reached 4,773 units, up 19 percent against 2013.
Accordingly, total sales volume of Toyota and Lexus in 2014 reached a new record with 41,205 units sold out, up 24 percent (7,917 units) against 2013. This positive result is thanks to the trust and support of customers for TMV’s products, tight cooperation of partners, dealers and suppliers as well as unceasing efforts of all TMV members.
In December, sales volume of passenger cars segment reached 2,796 units, up 62 percent compared to the same month last year. Meanwhile, sales volume of commercial vehicles segment reached 1,918 units.
For CBU models, the 2014 Yaris continued to set new record in sales volume in December with 510 units. The warm response from customers has helped the Yaris to reach a total of 1,955 units in 2014, just over 7 months since its launch in June 2014. Besides, other CBU models including the Hiace, Hilux, Land Cruiser and Prado achieved sales volume of 48 units, 140 units, 26 units and 104 units, respectively, in December. Compared with 2013, 2014 cumulative of Hiace was 588 units, up 64 percent; Hilux was 1,569 units, up 9 percent; Land Cruiser was 326 units, up 62 percent and Prado was 635 units, up 7 percent.
