MG has officially revealed the GTS crossover, which will go on sale in China in the first half of next year.
Essentially an evolution of the CS concept from last year's Auto Shanghai, the GTS crossover will be powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine that produces 217 hp and 349 Nm of torque. It is linked to a dual-clutch six-speed transmission and an all-wheel drive on-demand system. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds.
The GTS crossover will also get MG's newly developed array of GDI engines, starting out with a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder followed by larger 1.4- and 1.5-liter units. A more affordable dual-clutch gearbox is in the works and will be added sometime in 2015.
