A new report from Road & Track is indicating Ford will unveil a Shelby GT350R Mustang at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Billed as a more track-focused version, the Shelby GT350R Mustang will feature aerodynamic styling tweaks, better brakes and more aggressive tires.

As a small reminder, the Shelby GT350 Mustang is powered by a 5.2-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine featuring a flat-plane crankshaft and delivering more than 500 hp and 542 Nm of torque. All that power is channeled to the bespoke 19-inch wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and there’s also a standard Torsen limited slip differential.
