Ford Vietnam delivers best-ever September sales

Ford Vietnam has announced its best-ever September performance with retail sales rising 90 percent year-over-year to 1,390 units. The exceptional month was driven by strong customer demand across Ford’s full lineup of vehicles in Vietnam, including its B-segment pair - the EcoSport and Fiesta.
This September also capped the brand’s best-ever quarter in Vietnam with overall retail sales jumping 93 percent from the same quarter last year to 3,984 units.
Ford Vietnam’s year-to-date sales have risen more than 68 percent through the first nine months to 9,248 units, putting it on course for an all-time record sales year. The company’s year-to-date market share through September stands at 8.7 percent, up 1.6 percentage points from a year ago.
The all-new EcoSport compact urban SUV, which is helping define a whole new vehicle segment, has quickly become one of Ford’s most popular vehicles in Vietnam. The EcoSport delivered September retail sales of 232 units, and has recorded sales of 765 units since its July launch.
The Fiesta, Ford’s other B-segment offering, contributed to Ford’s record September performance with sales that increased 73 percent year-over-year to 133 units.
The best-selling Ranger continued to be Vietnam’s number one pickup truck in September, accounting for 43 percent of the segment by delivering retail sales that soared 183 percent year-over-year to 459 units.
This capped an all-time record quarter for Ranger in Vietnam with sales also surging 183 percent from the same quarter last year to 1,272 units.
The Transit continues to lead the commercial van segment in Vietnam with September sales rising 71 percent year-over-year to 337 units. Transit sales during the record quarter increased 94 percent to 1,025 units.
The popular Everest family SUV also contributed to the record September with retail sales that rose 28 percent to 147 units. Year-to-date sales of the Everest have increased more than 33 percent to 1,210 units.
