Lexus has announced the 2015 RC F will have a starting price of $62,400, excluding a $925 destination and handling charge. This makes it slightly cheaper than the BMW M4 Coupe which costs $64,200, excluding a $950 destination and handling charge.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the 2015 RC F is powered by an all-new 5.0-liter V8 engine which produces 467 hp and 526 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that allows the coupe to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 4.4 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 273 km/h.
For comparison, the M4 Coupe has a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine with 425 hp and 549 Nm of torque. It enables the car to sprint from 0-96 km/h in as little as 3.9 seconds - with the optional 7-speed dual-clutch transmission - before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
