Kia has just announced the 2015 Soul EV will have a starting price of $33,700, excluding destination and handling fees as well as a government rebate of $7,500
Set to go on sale shortly in the United States, the Soul EV is equipped with power windows / locks, a power driver’s seat, Bluetooth connectivity and cruise control. There's also a rear view camera, GPS navigation and a UVO infotainment system with EV Services which provides "real-time battery-level status, distance to empty and the ability to search for nearby charging stations."
Meanwhile, the $35,700 Soul EV Plus adds projection-style fog lamps, heated / ventilated leather seats and power folding mirrors.
Power comes from a 27 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery that powers an electric motor which produces 109 hp and 284 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in less than 12 seconds and hit a limited top speed of 145 km/h. It has an EPA-estimated range of 150 km/h and an MPGe rating of 120 city / 92 high / 105 combined.
