2015 Mercedes C-Class priced from $38,400 in the U.S.

Mercedes-Benz has announced the 2015 C-Class will have a starting price of $38,400 when it goes on sale in the United States in September.
According the German carmaker, the redesigned C-Class will come nicely equipped with H7 halogen headlamps, power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and a COMAND infotainment system with a 7-inch display.
A variety of options will be offered including a panoramic sunroof, an air suspension (AIRMATIC), a head-up display and heated front seats. There's also the Interior Package that adds leather upholstery, ventilated front seats and ambient lighting, as well as the Sport Package which adds an AMG body kit, a sport-tuned suspension and 18-inch AMG alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the entry-level C300 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 241 hp and 369 Nm torque. It is linked to a 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
Meanwhile, the $48,590 C400 4MATIC has a 3.0-liter bi-turbo direct-injection V6 engine which produces 329 hp and 479 Nm of torque. A rear-wheel drive version of the C300 will be launched in the first quarter of 2015.
