Audi has recently introduced the fuel-efficient A3 1.4 TFSI ultra, which is available in four body styles, including a three-door model, a five-door Sportback, a Sedan and an elegant Cabriolet.
According to the German carmaker, the model is powered by a 1.4-liter TFSI 4-cylinder engine which produces 150 hp. It is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed S tronic that allows the three-door hatchback to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 220 km/h. Thanks to cylinder on demand technology, it returns 4.7 L/100km (50 mpg US or 60.1 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.
In related news, Audi will also offer an A3 ultra version with a 1.6-liter TDI engine which develops 110 hp. This could enable the car to average 3.3 L/100km (71.2 mpg US or 85.6 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 88 g/km.
