Seat has recently unveiled at the 2014 Wörthersee Treffen the Ibiza Cupster concept, which is designed to celebrate the Ibiza's 30th anniversary.

Billed as a "radical pocket rocket" that is based on the Ibiza Cupra, the Cupster is a two-seat roadster that has no roof whatsoever, and even the classic front windscreen has given way to a low wrap-around strip of glass. It has also been equipped with New Orange paint and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin comes with black Alcantara racing seats and a "pure aniline leather" steering wheel which is "colored all the way through, without a layer of pigment, making it open-pored, very supple and wonderful to the touch."

Motivation is provided by a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder TSI engine which produces 180 hp and 250 Nm of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission that likely allows the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately 7 seconds.

"With its flat silhouette, powerful proportions and low seating position, the Cupster is the resolute embodiment of Seat’s dynamic brand values. In design and in sporting character, the Cupster is the ultimate Ibiza variant – and it delivers driving joy in its purest form," stresses Dr. Matthias Rabe, Vice President of Research and Development.
