According to a recent report, Porsche is currently working on an entry-level roadster, which could be launched in 2016.
Details are limited, but the model will wear the 718 moniker and is rumored to be based on the Boxster. The car would cost approximately €39,000 making it roughly €10,000 cheaper than the Boxster.
Engine options remain a mystery, but rumors suggest the entry-level Porsche roadster will be powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine which develops 286 hp. There could also be a 2.5-liter engine which produces 360 hp.
