According to Autocar, German carmaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to extend their C-Class lineup with a C450 AMG Sport which will go on sale next year.
The model will be positioned between the C400 and upcoming C63 AMG. It will be powered by an updated 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine which produces 367 hp, up from the previous 333 hp.
Unlike the C63 AMG which will be rear-wheel drive only, the C450 AMG Sport is expected to be offered with both RWD and 4MATIC. Although not an official AMG model, but it will benefit from a number of AMG-developed performance parts such as the sporty AMG Line aero kit, AMG light alloy wheels and AMG interior upgrades.
