Lamborghini Urus to be built starting 2017

Automotive News is reporting that the Lamborghini Urus will be built at a Volkswagen factory in Slovakia starting in 2017.

Specifically, Lamborghini's first SUV will be assembled alongside the Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7 as well as the bodies for the forthcoming Bentley SUV. It will ride on a modified version of the MLB Evo platform which also will underpin the next-generation Porsche Cayenne.

Additional information is limited, but the Lamborghini Urus is slated to go on sale early 2018 and could be offered with a hybridized V8 engine which produces approximately 680 hp.
