Honda has recently released the first official photos of the 2015 HR-V at the New York International Auto Show. With sleek and expressive styling, the car is anticipated to on sale in the United States this winter.
Built on the same global compact platform as the Fit, the HR-V will feature a versatile and spacious interior with second row seats that fold completely flat. It will serve as the entry point to the Honda light truck lineup, positioned below the CR-V in both price and size.
Specifications will be announced closer to launch, but the model could be powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine which produces 130 hp and 154 Nm of torque.
According to American Honda Senior Vice President Jeff Conrad, "Both Fit and HR-V demonstrate how great things can come in small packages, and no one does this better than Honda. Together these models also represent Honda's step-by-step expansion of our production in the region, which has been key to our success in America for more than 30 years."
