German carmaker Volkswagen has revealed the T-ROC concept, ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
Designed to offer a "glimpse at future Volkswagen SUVs," the T-ROC is a compact three-door crossover coupe which comes with a removable roof and measures 4,179 mm long, 1,831 mm wide and 1,501 mm tall.
It features a Blue-Splash Metallic exterior and a three dimensional grille which is bordered by the dual LED headlights. There's also high-gloss black trim, LED daytime running lights, chrome side sills and multi-part 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin has leather-wrapped seats, Blue-Splash Metallic trim and a removable tablet which is used as an infotainment display. One of the highlights of the interior is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that will display the controls, status indicators and climate control functions.
Under the hood, the T-ROC is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TDI engine which produces 184 hp and 380 Nm of torque. It is linked to a seven-speed DSG transmission and a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system that allows the 1,420 kg car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 210 km/h. In terms of fuel efficiency, the model returns 4.9 L/100km (48 mpg US or 57.6 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 129 g/km.
