Via Facebook, BMW M has released yesterday the first photos of the M4 Coupe Safety Car for the 2014 MotoGP season.
As you can see, the safety car wears a traditional M livery and the typical lettering on front apron, side skirts and rear end, as well as a light bar. It is also fitted with the M Performance Parts such as some front skirt attachments, a rear spoiler and a rear diffuser. All of them have been made from carbon fiber.
Power comes from an inline-six 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine producing 431 hp and 550 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds with the six-speed manual or in 4.1 seconds with the optional seven-speed M DCT. Top speed is electronically-limited to 250 km/h, but the German carmaker also offers an optional M Driver's Package which raises the limiter to 280 km/h.
