BMW has officially revealed the 2015 X4 which will make its world premiere next month at the New York Auto Show.
Inspired by the X6 and based on the X3, the X4 crossover features an aggressive front fascia with a prominent grille, twin headlights and distinctive fog lights. There's also a roofline that mimics the design language of a classical sporting coupe, along with L-shaped LED taillights and a faux rear diffuser.
For the interior, the driver and front passenger sit 20 mm lower than in the X3. In conjunction with the two-seat look of the rear, this accentuates the coupe character of the X4 in the classy and exclusive interior as well. At the same time, the X4 offers generous levels of space for up to five people and - thanks to the standard 40:20:40 split rear seat backrest - impressive variability.
Under the bonnet, six different engines will be available including:
- A 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel with 190 hp and 400 Nm
- A 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder diesel with 258 hp and 560 Nm
