Audi has taken the wraps off the S3 Cabriolet at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Set to go sale in Germany this summer, the S3 Cabriolet is distinguished by new bumpers, aluminum-look mirror housings, aluminum strips on the windshield frame, while the soft top is offered in three different colors and opened or closed in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
It rides on 18-inch five-parallel-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 225/40 R18 tires. To reduce weight, the wheels are made using an aluminum flow forming process. Audi also offers optional 18- or 19-inch wheels in various designs.
Inside, the cabin features S sport seats with integrated head restraints and shoulder panels with diamond stitching. There's also a sport leather steering wheel, a revised instrument cluster, stainless-steel pedals, aluminum door sills and unique gauges.
Under the hood, the S3 Cabriolet is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder TFSI turbocharged petrol engine which produces 300 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the quattro all-wheel drive system via a six-speed S tronic gearbox which allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
In terms of efficiency, owners can expect to average 7.1 L/100km (33.13 mpg US or 39.7 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 165 g/km.
