American carmaker Cadillac has recently revealed plans to introduce a special edition of the 2014 ATS, called the Crimson.
This special ATS comes in a unique Crimson Red Metallic exterior color and features an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front fascia lower air splitter, a rear diffuser and aero-optimized rocker moldings. The special edition can also be distinguished by an aero decklid spoiler and 18-inch forged aluminum wheels with a Dark Silver finish.
Interior changes are limited, but the cabin has been fitted with the microfiber suede on the heated steering wheel and gear shifter.
Under the hood, the model will be offered with two engines, including a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with 270 hp and 353 Nm or a larger 3.6-liter V6 with 318 hp and 362 Nm. Both engines can be configured with either a rear- or all-wheel drive arrangement.
The ATS Crimson will arrive in dealerships this spring but pricing details have not been disclosed. Needless to say, it will be more expensive than the entry-level version which costs $33,065.
