Lamborghini Huracan receives 700 orders

Just one month after private preview events of the 2015 Huracan began, Lamborghini has announced they have already received 700 orders from customers.

Described as an "excellent start for the heir to the best selling Lamborghini to date," the Huracan will be powered by a new 5.2-liter V10 engine which produces 610 hp at 8,250 rpm and 560 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Power is sent to the four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The different driving modes can be selected via a switch on the steering wheel, with three setups of the dynamics system: Strada, Sport and Corsa.

According to the Italian carmaker, the 1,422 kg supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and to 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds. Thanks to the Stop & Start technology, the engine complies with EU6 emissions regulation which allows the Huracan to have an average fuel consumption of 12.5-liter / 100 km.

The 2015 Lamborghini Huracan will make its world public debut next month at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
