Ferrari has officially revealed the California T, ahead of its debut next month at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
According to the Italian carmaker, the California T features an evolutionary design which cues from the F12 Berlinetta and FF. The car retains its hardtop roof that retracts into the boot in 14 seconds.
Inside, the cabin has been equipped with Frau semi-aniline leather seats, a new center console with a 6.5-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system and a host of console buttons inspired by the F12 Berlinetta.
Power comes from a turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 engine which develops 560 hp and 755 Nm of torque - an increase of 70 hp and 250 Nm over the outgoing California. This allows the California T to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 316 km/h.
Despite being more powerful, the California T returns a combined fuel consumption of 10.5L/100km on the European cycle, with CO2 emissions of 250 g/km, down 15 percent and 20 percent respectively over its predecessor.
Other notable changes include a revised chassis with improved steering response, an upgraded suspension (with new springs and faster Magnaride dampers), an F1-Trac traction control system and a CCM3 carbon-ceramic braking system offering a 100 to 0 km/h braking distance of 34 meters.
