2015 Subaru Outback to be shown in New York

2013 Subaru Outback

A new report from Car & Driver is indicating the 2015 Subaru Outback will debut at the New York Auto Show in April.

Details are limited, but the next-generation Outback is expected to be heavily influenced by the Legacy unveiled at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. This means it should offer a big upgrade in terms of interior materials, exterior styling and in-car technologies including the latest generation of Subaru’s EyeSight dual-camera safety setup.

Engine options remain a mystery but could include a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with 175 hp and 235 Nm of torque as well as a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder with 256 hp and 334 Nm of torque. Both engines will likely be linked to a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
