Korean carmaker Kia has unveiled the 2014 Optima Hybrid at the Chicago Auto Show.
Available in LX and EX trims, the facelifted Optima Hybrid features a new front bumper with a series of additional vents which help to increase airflow and reduce drag. There's also a mesh grille, bespoke LED lighting and redesigned 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin comes with more upscale and high-tech amenities, including a 4.3-inch TFT LCD instrument cluster, an eight-speaker Infinity audio system and a UVO eServices infotainment system.
Motivation is provided by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor and a 47 kW lithium polymer battery. This setup allows the sedan to offer a total output of 199 hp and 318 Nm of torque. In terms of efficiency, the model can return up to 36 mpg city / 40 mpg highway / 38 mpg combined.
