German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series which is designed for the "competitive racing scene of Gran Turismo 6."
Based on the AMG Vision Gran Turismo, the Racing Series is distinguished by a fixed rear wing that provides additional downforce on high-speed circuits. There's also conventional mirrors which replace the CCD cameras on the original model.
Motivation is provided by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine with 591 hp, mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission which was optimized for transmission performance rather than ride comfort. The total weight of the car is just 1,300 kg.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series has been added to Gran Turismo 6 and can be obtained by participating in the new seasonal event, available only for a limited time.
