Subaru has recently confirmed plans to introduce the 2015 WRX STI at the North American International Auto Show on January 14.
Details are limited, but the Japanese carmaker said they will unveil their "iconic performance flagship model" in Detroit. Previous reports have indicated the car will be distinguished by an aggressive wide body kit and a larger rear spoiler.
Power could be provided by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine which develops 300 hp and 393 Nm of torque. As a reminder, the standard WRX uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 268 hp and 349 Nm of torque.
