Lexus has officially revealed the RC F Coupe, ahead of its debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show on January 14.

Billed as the "most powerful V8 performance car ever developed by Lexus," the RC F Coupe comes with aggressive bumpers, a revised grille, new side skirts and swollen fenders. There's also a bulging hood, carbon fiber components, 19-inch forged aluminum wheels and an active rear wing that deploys at approximately 80 km/h and retracts at speeds less than 40 km/h.

Inside, the cabin has been equipped with body hugging sport seats, a new instrument cluster with a single central meter and customizable display. Other highlights include revised trim, alloy pedals and a new "elliptical cross-section thick-grip steering wheel".

Under the hood, the RC F Coupe is expected to use a 5.0-liter V8 engine which produces 460 hp, mated to an automatic transmission with paddle gear shifte. This could allow the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and hit a top speed of roughly 300 km/h.
