Volkswagen has just introduced the 2014 Jetta TDI Value Edition, which is based on the Jetta S, in the United States.
Acording to the German carmaker, the Jetta TDI Value Edition costs $21,295 and is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder TDI Clean Diesel engine with 140 hp. It is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox which allows the model to return 5.6-liter / 100 km (42 mpg US or 50.4 mpg UK) on the highway. For an additional $1,100, it will be offered with a six-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission.
Compared to the Jetta TDI Clean Diesel, customers are poised to save $2,330 by going for the Value Edition that comes equipped with electric power steering, 16-inch steel wheels, heated cloth seats, cruise control, two additional speakers, Media Device Interface (MDI) and SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
