Hyundai has recently introduced the 2014 Genesis Coupe which offers a number of key features and enhancements adding to its recognized market success as a high-performance coupe for everyday enthusiasts.
According to the Korean carmaker, the 2014 Genesis Coupe comes with additional standard equipment including:
- Fog lights, cruise control, auto-dimming inside mirror with HomeLink, heated mirrors and floor mats
- Enhanced seat bolsters for R-Spec models
- Enhanced navigation system function
- Five new exterior colors and new cloth interior scheme
- Hyundai Assurance Connected Care telematics services standard for three years via the available Blue Link telematics platform
- Safety and Car Care features standard on all Blue Link-equipped models
- Automatic Collision Notification, SOS Emergency Assistance, Enhanced Roadside Assistance
- Car Care: Monthly Vehicle Health Report, Maintenance Alert, Automatic Diagnostics Trouble Code Notification, Recall Advisor and in-vehicle Car Care maintenance scheduling
Under the bonnet, two different engines are available. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine develops 274 hp and 372 Nm of torque, while the 3.8-liter V6 engine produces 348 hp and 399 Nm of torque (on premium fuel).
Both engines are mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission that has carbon-coated synchronizer rings for smoother shift action and enhanced synchronizer durability. In addition, customers can also order an eight-speed automatic transmission with enhanced paddle-shifters and engine RPM downshift rev-matching.
