Volvo has announced the 2014 V60 will have a starting price of $35,300 in the United States. That represents a $2,900 premium over the S60.
Set to go on sale this month, the Sportswagon comes nicely equipped with a moonroof, Shimmer Graphite trim and Textile upholstery. There's also power front seats, a dual-zone climate control system and a "high performance sound system" with Bluetooth/USB/iPod connectivity.
Under the bonnet, three engines are available including:
- A 2.0-liter T5 Drive-E 4-cylinder with 240 hp and 349 Nm of torque
- A 2.5-liter T5 5-cylinder with 250 hp and 360 Nm of torque
- A 3.0-liter T6 6-cylinder with 325 hp and 479 Nm of torque
The Drive-E engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the T5 and T6 engines are linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
According to Volvo, the V60 R-Design (T6) will be the fastest and most powerful wagon in the company's history.
