Jaguar has recently gave British automotive journalist Chris Harris the opportunity to test drive the limited edition XKR-S GT.
Developed by the company's Engineered to Order (ETO) division, the XKR-S GT is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine which produces 550 hp and 680 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels via an active electronic differential. This allows the car to sprint from 0-96 km/h in 3.9 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 299 km/h.
Production will be limited to 40 units with 10 of which destined for the UK market. The 2014 Jaguar XKR-S GT will have a starting price of £135,000.
