Citroën has officially confirmed the production version of the DS Wild Rubis concept will be launched in China next year.
Named the DS X7, the SUV will be manufactured in China by the Changan-PSA joint venture. Production will start in late 2014 while first deliveries will be made in the first part of 2015. There are currently no plans to sell the car in Europe.
It will ride on the same platform as the DS5 and powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine which produces 163 hp. Various rumors are indicating the DS X7 will also get a more powerful 1.8-liter turbo but the French carmaker hasn't confirmed this.
