Chevrolet has taken the wraps off the Silverado Cheyenne concept that will be unveiled at the 2013 SEMA Show.

Based on the 2014 Silverado regular cab, the Cheyenne concept is distinguished by its carbon fiber bumpers, tailgate and cargo inner cargo box which have shaved approximately 91 kg. It also features a lowered ride height, a rear stabilizer bar, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, a Borla performance exhaust system and 19-inch Camaro Z/28 alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin comes with Recaro sport seats and a Camaro ZL1-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel. Available safety features, including lane departure warning, front and rear park assist and a rear-vision camera, enhance safety without detracting from the truck's performance.

Under the hood, the all-new EcoTec3 6.2-liter V8 engine develops 420 hp and 623 Nm of torque - an increase of 65 hp and 104 Nm over the previous 5.3-liter V8 engine. Power is transferred to the wheels via the Silverado's production six-speed automatic transmission equipped with hill descent control and hill start assist.
