McLaren has just released some new details about the 12C GT Sprint, following its world premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Designed to bridge the gap between the regular MP4-12C and the 12C GT3, the track-only GT Sprint is distinguished by a revised front bumper, a GT3-inspired hood with radiator exit ducts and 19-inch center-locking OZ alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli competition tires. Other highlights include a 40 mm reduced ride height, a high-performance braking system with carbon ceramic brake discs, an on-board air jacking system and a recalibrated Proactive Chassis Control system.
Inside, the cabin has an adjustable HANS-approved composite racing seat with full six-point harness, a built-in fire extinguisher and an FIA-approved rollcage. There's also a carbon fiber dash and a lighter air conditioning system.
Motivation is provided by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine which produces 625 hp, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Currently available for order, the McLaren 12C GT Sprint has a starting price of £195,000 ($316,445 or €233,550).
