Kia K900 confirmed for Los Angeles Auto Show

Kia K900

Yesterday, Kia has announced plans to introduce the 2014 K900 at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month.

Set to go on sale in the United States next year, the K900 will be available with a choice of V6 and V8 engines sending power to the rear axle. Chances are the V6 engine will be a 290 hp 3.8-liter MPI, while the V8 engine will be a 420 hp 5.0-liter Tau.

The K900 would be positioned above the 2014 Cadenza which starts at $35,900. So the K900 is expected to have a starting price of $50,000 and top out at $70,000 for the fully-loaded version.

In an interview with Edmunds, Scott McKee, a Kia Motors America spokesman, refused to specify whether the K900 is based on the 2014 Hyundai Equus, but said it will be equipped with luxury features and advanced safety technologies.
