Honda has announced the S660 concept will make its public debut next month at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.

Described as an "open-top sports-type mini-vehicle", the S660 is powered by a small 660cc three-cylinder turbocharged engine which produces 64 hp, mated to a seven-speed CVT. This may sound somewhat feeble, but it is said to tip the scales at 900 kg.

The production version with a retractable roof will be sold on the Japanese market in late 2014. Meanwhile, some reports are also indicating an export version, which is powered by a bigger 1.0-liter turbo engine with 100 hp, could happen sometime in the future.

The S660 concept will be showcased at Honda's stand along with the Acura NSX concept and a UNI-CUB personal mobility device.
