Cadillac's senior vice president has confirmed the company is considering a large crossover and branding it under the Escalade name.
Speaking to Automotive News after unveiling the 2015 Escalade, Bob Ferguson said "There are a number of individuals who just love this vehicle but there are others who would say 'I would love something that would give me a different ride and a different experience.'" As a result, Cadillac product planners "are still considering" a large crossover to complement the Escalade which continues to ride on a more truck-like platform.
Ferguson also stressed that no decisions have been made, but previous reports have indicated that a large crossover could be launched as early as 2017.
