According to a report from Detroit News, Alfa Romeo's U.S. return has been delayed by Fiat until the second quarter of next year.
In a statement, Chrysler spokesman Rick Deneau said the Alfa Romeo 4C, which has a starting price of $54,000, will be offered in the United States in the second quarter of 2014. This is a few months later than the promised date of late 2013.
As a small reminder, the Alfa Romeo 4C is powered by a turbocharged 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine mounted behind the seats, producing 240 hp and 350 Nm of torque. It is mated to a dual-clutch transmission which allows the 895 kg sports car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 258 km/h.
