Toyota has announced the 2014 4Runner will have a starting price of $32,820, without the $860 destination charges, when it goes on sale this month.
The base SR5 comes as standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, Entune multimedia system, comfortable fabric-trimmed seats and a manually controlled air conditioning system. For an extra $1,875, it can get auto-dimming mirrors, power tilt/slide moonroof, Entune premium audio with navigation, SofTex seats and power passenger seat. Four-wheel drive is an optional $2,920.
The 4Runner Trail costs $35,725 and adds a multi-terrain response system, hill-start assist and the brand's crawl control system. Customer can also order the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System which can automatically disconnect the sway bars.
The Limited begins at $41,365 and comes with a full-time multi-mode 4x4 with a locking center differential, 20-inch alloy wheels, 15-speaker Entune Premium JBL sound system, an automatic dual-zone climate-control system and a more refined X-REAS suspension.
The 2014 4Runner adds four new exterior colors, including Super White, Attitude Black Metallic, Barcelona Red Metallic and Nautical Blue Metallic. Carryover colors include Blizzard Pearl, Classic Silver Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Black.
Power comes exclusively from a 4.0-liter V6 engine which produces 270 hp and 376 Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed ECT-i automatic transmission and a transfer case.
